You can probably ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers to this, but here is what you need to know about balayage. 

 

     "Balayage" is a French word that means "to sweep". What does that mean for you and your hair, though?  Simply put, it is a technique- one where we brush the lightener or color on in a sweeping motion, lightly.

     It is not necessarily one type of look, as many different types of highlights and colors can come from it, from natural, lived in, to bold with contrast of bright and deep tones.

     All of these looks do have something in common though. The end results are very softly blended and there are no harsh lines like you see with traditional foils.
